È Billie Eilish l’asso pigliatutto alla 62esima edizione dei Grammy Awards. La giovane cantante ha trionfato nella notte dei premi musicali americani aggiudicandosi il riconoscimento per la “canzone dell’anno” con Bad Guy, quello di “rivelazione dell’anno”, di album dell’anno, di miglior album pop vocale e Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical) con “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”.

La serata è stata inevitabilmente condizionata dalla notizia choc arrivata solo poche ore prima, quella morte improvvisa della star del basket Kobe Bryant, deceduto insieme alla figlia tredicenne in un incidente d’elicottero in cui sono morte in tutto 9 persone.
Un mito per gli Americani e per gli appassionati di tutto il mondo, per il quale la cerimonia ha riservato un commosso omaggio. La madrina della serata Alicia Keys ha parlato della perdita di un eroe per l’America e tutto il mondo: “Eccoci nella notte più importante della musica per celebrare gli artisti che hanno dato il meglio ma per essere onesti stiamo tutti provando una grande amarezza”.
Così Alicia e Boyz II Men hanno intonato in suo onore un’esecuzione a cappella di “It is so hard to say goodbye to yesterday”.
